In a bizarre crossover event that defies conventional predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Uncovered

According to the official statement, "An unusual confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome transformations resonate through the shadows." The storyline presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine cult.

The mission centers on "peculiar tests and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Extra Material

Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to several objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Third Free Story Addition

This patch also adds the game's latest no-cost story content, titled "The Mystery."
